Charlotte County Homeless Coalition

Our Annual “Crappy” Clothing Drive has been updated to “Fabulous Finds and Crappy Clothing Drive” for February 16-19, 2018! Start cleaning out your closets and donate your items to our clothing drive (good and bad clothes allowed-bad clothes would have holes or stains. Homeless Coalition can receive money per pound of “crappy” clothes!

The Homeless Coalition is our primary mission focus for Wintergarden. As a congregation, we collect needed items for the Coalition, as well as preparing and serving a monthly meal on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. We welcome people to join us at 4:30 at 1476 Kenesaw St, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. If you are interested in volunteering with the Homeless Coalition, click here for the volunteer application.

In addition, we try to partner with the Homeless Coalition for upcoming events and support efforts. One way we are partnering with the Homeless Coalition is through having an annual clothing drive. Fabulous Finds are items of clothing, household items, etc. and “crappy” clothes are items that have holes, tears, stains, etc. and need to be thrown away. For every pound that is collected of “crappy” clothing, the Homeless Coalition is paid an amount per pound. The collection for clothing will happen the third weekend in February.
