Dearest Wintergarden Faith Community,

As we continue to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world, let us do so with love and hope. Our weekly email of prayers is a way for us to share the prayers shared in worship, through the food pantry, and our various other ministries with a larger group. Due to privacy needs we will only include the first names of people and not last names. We also know this list will not be perfect and in need of constant updating. We will review this every week and be mindful of how we are being asked to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world.

Blessings,
Pastor Devon

Prayers of Joy

  • Sunday was a joy-filled time as we were able to not only worship in the sanctuary away from the bugs and heat, but we also got to do so in close to normal conditions.
  • We also had a great group of young people from our work team lead music at the opening and we were all grateful for their youthful energy and joyful noise.
  • Kymmie gave additional thanks for cooler temperatures and for the joy in the room.
  • We give thanks for Pastor Syl and his wife, Betania who joined us for worship . Pastor Syl will be filling in for much of the time Pastor Devon is on sabbatical.
  •  Cheryl rejoiced in being able to talk with her brother.

  • Prayers also for our food panty and the homeless coalition – for the volunteers and clients.
  • Prayers for those struggling with their mental health.
  • Also for those living in a place of fear and shame instead of the peace, forgiveness, hope, and love. Prayer to remind them.
  • Prayers for all those impacted by the mass shootings going on.
  • Kymmie requests prayers for a successful and calm upcoming week.
  • Prayers also for cooler temperatures and no hurricanes.
  • World peace and peace for each of us during the coming months.
