Our Money Story is our 2026 Stewardship Theme this season. The material guiding us on this journey was created by A Sanctified Art and the Vandersall Collective. Here is a little information about the theme.  We are going to begin an intentional journey during our stewardship season that, I pray, will carry you personally and us as a faith community into the years to come. Over the years, we have explored the themes of stewardship in many different ways- some direct and more indirect. But as a congregation, we have not looked at stewardship through the lens of our personal money stories and how these stories continue to impact every aspect of our lives. As I have done this, my eyes have been opened more and more about what my personal money story is and how it has impacted my life…positively and negatively. Each week, we’ll talk through different scriptures and stories that connect to our money stories and to the stories of the great cloud of witnesses that have gone before us through the different weekly themes of remember, release, reimagine, and restore.

Everyone will be invited to do examine their personal money story in a few different ways.  First, through worship. During our worship time, Our Money Story is incorporated throughout our worship service. Second, through small groups after worship. We will meet for 3 Sundays after worship to work through our story as individuals and as a faith community. Third, you are invited to take the small workbook called “The Elements of Your Money Story.”  Think of it as a journaling workbook on where your ideas and conceptions come from in regards to your personal memories of how your own money has been formed. That journaling workbook, will be the foundation for the work we do in small groups after worship. And fourth, there is a devotional for you to read through over the course of the month as we go through this series. Through all of these ways, this stewardship season, you will be invited to remember, release, reimagine, and restore your money stories so that we can write the one God is begging us to live into. It is my hope that we truly examine what it means to be stewards of the many gifts that God has given to each of us and to explore how our money is part of those gifts.

During worship, Pastor Devon will be sharing from scripture, her personal money story, as well as many aspects of Wintergarden’s money story. Through these stories, we will also learn more about the current financial situation of our congregation and in our mission to our community. The session has worked on a preliminary budget for 2026 and a pledge card for 2026 as well. Both are included in this letter for your review, questions, wonderings, prayer, and commitment. Our dedication will be on Sunday, November 23, 2025 during our worship service.

Here is the image for the series too that I would like on the website:
