After 3 years of discernment, the session has approved moving forward with starting a new non-profit for the feed ministry. A separate board has been created and is serving in the capacity as a foundational board to get the non-profit off the ground. Last Spring, a team of volunteers gathered together to create the name for the non-profit, the mission statement, and vision statement through an active process. The new non-profit is called: “Nurturing the Neighborhood on Wintergarden” or NNOW.
The Mission Statement is: Nurturing the Neighborhood on Wintergarden aims to share God’s love through reducing hunger and supporting those in need in our community. Our goal is to offer hope by coming alongside our neighbors to help everyone feel secure through challenging times.
Our Value Statement is: We believe in serving our neighbors with compassion, joy, and unconditional love. Our commitment to service is rooted in being open-hearted, embracing every individual with kindness and respect. We strive to create a community where love is expressed through selfless acts, fostering a spirit of connection and belonging for all.
And last night, after a great deal of reflection, review, and edits, the board for NNOW approved the 501c3 application and submitted the form. Now we wait to become officially approved as a 501c3.
