Help us further our mission into our community TODAY on #GIVINGTUESDAY

Our goal is to raise an addition $2,500 to help further our mission to feed people physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally in our community.

Today is giving Tuesday. Friends, our neighbors are struggling. People are hurting. People are hungry and many don’t know where their next meal will come from. People are also seeking a faith that is real, honest, and allows for questions, doubts, and wonderings. Our community seeks to meet a physical hunger and a spiritual hunger. And we want to offer you two ways to give on Giving Tuesday. You can give financial gift or you could donate food. Keep reading for more details!

So, how are we called to respond?

In Matthew 25:35 these words are shared, “I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”

Prayerfully consider how you can help your neighbor, our neighbors, this Christmas season. A little bit about our constantly expanding ministry. The Food Pantry is now serving over 630 families every week. We have 50-60 volunteers (and we always need more) serving our community. We host AA, NA, and other community groups for safe gatherings where all people are welcome. We are partnering with a variety of organizations in our community to meet the constantly growing need. Due to the increasing need to feed our community, Wintergarden is launching a new non-profit called “Nurturing the Neighborhood on Wintergarden” and you can learn more about this non-profit HERE. And we are exploring partnerships regarding building usage to come alongside other non-profits in our community.

If this mission speaks to your heart, a link below for direct giving. You can choose which ministry you would like to support on that page, for every gift you give supports Wintergarden’s mission to feed people physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally in our community. If you would like to give a financial gift, we appreciate any financial gift you can give. You are invited to give to our food pantry or any of the Wintergarden Presbyterian church missions by clicking HERE.

If you would like to give food to the food pantry, please drop off food on Tuesday from 10-2 or all day on Wednesday. Please drop donations at the entrance of the church in the shopping carts.

Thank you,
Pastor Devon

ps…if you believe in the work and mission of Wintergarden, please forward this to your friends and share on Facebook. Thanks for being you!
