Dearest Wintergarden Faith Community,
As we continue to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world, let us do so with love and hope. Our weekly email of prayers is a way for us to share the prayers shared in worship, through the food pantry, and our various other ministries with a larger group. Due to privacy needs we will only include the first names of people and not last names. We also know this list will not be perfect and in need of constant updating. We will review this every week and be mindful of how we are being asked to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world.
Blessings,
Pastor Devon
What Does the Lord Require of You? What does the Lord require of you? What does the Lord require of you? Justice, kindness, walk humbly with your God. To seek justice, and love kindness, and walk humbly with your God. |
Prayers of Joy
- Gale is joyful for the sounds of kids playing and for the butterflies around us. Truly joyful sights and sounds.
- Chris is grateful that Kymmie is back and feeling better.
- Colleen is grateful that Clara’s passport arrived.
- Kymmie expressed joy for “family fun night.”
- We are all grateful for Heather and playing so beautifully.
- We all rejoice for all the recent birthdays and all that cake! We’re all definitely grateful that Drew, Kymmie, Maya, and Emma were all born!
- Cheryl is excited about her upcoming birthday party and asks for prayers for that celebration.
- Cheryl is also grateful for the help, prayers, and friendship of her chosen family.
Prayers of Concern
- Joyce asked for prayer for Barb and Fred for strength as they move forward.
- John asked for prayer for Brandi. For direction and peace.
- John also asked for continued prayers for Bob, who has been moved to a rehab facility. Update: Bob is back in the hospital and prayers for healing are needed!
- Please continue to pray for Maralee’s mom who is in the hospital. For healing and for direction for her family.
- Kymmyie asked for prayers for family and pantry friends going through a lot.
- Cheryl asked for continued prayers for Frank’s surgery. It went well but continued prayers for healing.
- Wendy asked for prayer for friends / classmates: Mike, Jay and Maureen.
- Mike passed away suddenly, so prayers for his loved ones as they work through his unexpected passing.
- Jay had a triple bypass and is doing well, but prayers for his recovery.
- And Maureen is still struggling to recover from meningitis but also needs knee replacement surgery. Each issue is interfering with the other. It’s been a very long road for her, so please pray for her health, but also for strength to keep fighting.
- Cheryl asked for prayers for Cheri’s recovery.
- Cheryl also asked for prayers for her housing situation, for an upcoming associated meeting and for patience through the housing process.
- And as always, we pray for the people of the world to know and feel peace.
