Dearest Wintergarden Faith Community, 

As we continue to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world, let us do so with love and hope. Our weekly email of prayers is a way for us to share the prayers shared in worship, through the food pantry, and our various other ministries with a larger group. Due to privacy needs we will only include the first names of people and not last names. We also know this list will not be perfect and in need of constant updating. We will review this every week and be mindful of how we are being asked to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world.

Prayers of Joy

  • We celebrate the joy and enthusiasm of the first work team of 2024! They hail from Marquette University in Wisconsin. 
  • Praise! Wendy’s cousin, Norm, reports that his surgery was successful and he’s very happy. 
  • Maralee reports her dad is healing well also. 
  • We’re all excited to see that Jim and Colleen have returned. 


  • Please pray for Cecilia’s upcoming appointment with a orthopedic surgeon.
  • Prayer is requested for Ahilya’s respiratory issues. 
  • Julie will be returning from vacation. She’s lost a lot of weight and has a doctor appointment on Wednesday, so please be in prayer for her and her family. 
  • Kymmie asked for prayers for John’s family. 
  • Maralee’s friend in NC, Bill, is in need a of a kidney. So, she requests prayer for a willing, matching donor. 
  • Continued prayers for Bud and Donna.
  • Prayers for Heather who is still home sick. 
  • Kymmie also asked for prayer for good dog behavior and a smooth week ahead. 
  • Wendy asked for continued prayer her sister, Cathy’s family as they are all still sick. 
  • Continued prayers for Cheryl’s brother and sister. 
  • For all the homeless families in our community and hoping they have a place to be.
  • Please pray that our food pantry clients and volunteers. 
  • For those affected by gun violence.
  • For peace in the Middle East, Sudan, Ukraine. 
  • For peace in our own lives and for our world. 

Traveling Mercies

  • Safe travels for all our winter friends who will be traveling south soon!
  • And indeed, safe travels for 2024!
