Church workday is moving to the 3rd Saturday of the month. We will be working in the garden for the morning. We need to get the garden cleaned up and some projects completed on that Saturday…this is because Lois Thome will be from Wink News will be joining us at the end of the month to talk with us more about our church launching the new non-profit Nurturing the Neighborhood on Wintergarden. Looking forward to seeing you on January, 17 for our workday!
Over the course of the past 3 years, the leadership of Wintergarden and the Food Pantry have been discerning starting a new non-profit. After years of discernment, we officially applied to start a new non-profit called Nurturing the Neighborhood on Wintergarden. Last week, we officially received our 501c3 non-profit status from the IRS. More to come in the New Year on how this new non-profit will expand the feeding ministry in Charlotte County!
